This disclaimer explains eight situations that carry extra risk, such as sensitive items, customs restrictions, items we cannot fully inspect, fragile goods, custom-made products, deposit orders, low-rated sellers, and CDs and collectible figures, and who bears that risk. Sensitive items
Items that contain essential oils, lotions, lubricants, batteries, adhesives or other sensitive materials will be removed from your package so that the rest of your order can be delivered smoothly.
Customs restrictions
Branded products, large quantities of liquids or powders, items with electrical components, food, medicine and certain other goods may be restricted by customs and carry extra shipping risk. OriginBuy cannot control customs decisions and is not liable for any consequences of these restrictions, such as items being held, returned or confiscated.
Items we cannot inspect professionally
For electrical appliances, branded products, tickets, cards and similar items, we cannot carry out a professional inspection of quality, authenticity or completeness. Our inspectors can only check the outside of the item and whether all accessories are included; they cannot open devices to test how they work.
Fragile items
Ceramics, glassware and irregularly shaped items (such as wiper blades or automatic vent doors) can be worn or broken in transit, so please buy them with care. We make sure these items are intact before they are shipped. If an item is damaged in transit and the carrier classifies it as fragile, you bear the loss.
Custom-made products
If you order a custom-made product, we recommend agreeing your requirements directly with the seller. Once you have agreed, send us the seller's chat ID (AliWangwang), your messages or other order references. We cannot professionally inspect custom-made items, so you bear the risk of any loss.
Deposit orders
Because of Taobao seller rules, a deposit (pre-sale) order cannot be cancelled once it is placed. You need to follow the seller's updates and pay the remaining balance; only then can the goods be delivered. If the balance is not paid within the seller's deadline, the deposit is not refunded.
Sellers with poor ratings
We recommend buying from sellers with a good reputation, a rating of at least three stars, and payment through Taobao's escrow service. Sellers with low ratings and no payment protection may send fake shipments, not deliver at all, or offer no after-sales service or consumer protection. You bear any loss from these risks.
CDs and collectible figures
CDs and handmade collectible figures are often valuable to collectors, so we inspect them without opening the plastic seal, in order to protect their collectible value. We can only check the outside for damage and cannot check the contents in detail. You bear the risks that arise from this.
Your agreement

Frequently asked questions
Can OriginBuy ship batteries, essential oils or other sensitive items?
No. OriginBuy removes items containing essential oils, lotions, lubricants, batteries, adhesives or other sensitive materials from your package, so that the rest of your order can be delivered smoothly.
Does OriginBuy check whether branded products are authentic?
No. For branded products, electrical appliances, tickets and cards, OriginBuy can only check the outside of the item and whether all accessories are included. We cannot verify authenticity, quality or completeness.
Who pays if a fragile item breaks during shipping?
If an item is damaged in transit and the carrier classifies it as fragile, you bear the loss. OriginBuy checks that fragile items such as ceramics and glassware are intact before they are shipped.
Can I cancel a deposit order on Taobao through OriginBuy?
No. Under Taobao seller rules, a deposit order cannot be cancelled once placed. OriginBuy needs you to pay the remaining balance before the seller's deadline; otherwise the deposit is not refunded.
Is OriginBuy responsible if customs holds or confiscates my items?
No. Branded goods, liquids, powders, electronics, food and medicine may be restricted by customs. OriginBuy cannot control customs decisions and is not liable for the consequences.
How should I choose a seller on Taobao?
OriginBuy recommends sellers with a good reputation, at least a three-star rating, and payment through Taobao's escrow service. You bear any loss from buying from low-rated sellers without payment protection.
