How Long Can My Items Be Stored? Free Storage & Overdue Fees
Items you buy or forward through OriginBuy can be stored in our warehouse in China free of charge for 120 days from the date they are received into storage. From day 121, an overdue storage fee of 0.2% of the item price per day applies, with a minimum of ¥1 and a maximum of ¥300 per item per month. Overdue storage fees help keep the warehouse moving and make sure there is storage space for every customer, so please read the rules below carefully.

Free storage period
Each item gets 120 days of free storage from the date it is received into storage in our warehouse.
- Storage time is counted in calendar days.
- The free period ends at 23:59:59 on day 120.
To avoid extra fees, submit a shipment for your items before the free period ends.
How overdue storage fees are calculated
Overdue storage fees start on day 121.
- Fees are calculated per item, per day.
- Fees are charged in Chinese yuan (CNY, ¥).
Fee standard
Daily fee = item price × 0.2%
- Minimum: ¥1 per item per day. If the calculated fee is less than ¥1, ¥1 is charged.
- Maximum: the overdue fee for one item never exceeds ¥300 per month.
For items purchased through OriginBuy, the item price is the price you actually paid for the item. For items you forward to our warehouse yourself, it is the value you declared when the item was received.

Safekeeping and disposal
While your items are in storage, OriginBuy is responsible for keeping them safe. This does not cover product shelf life: for example, perishable goods with a one-month shelf life may expire while in storage.
An item is disposed of (treated as abandoned) in accordance with our Terms of Service, without further notice, only if all three of the following apply:
- Its overdue storage fee has reached the monthly cap;
- The fee has been unpaid for more than 30 days; and
- No shipment has been submitted for it.
We strongly recommend keeping an eye on how long your items have been in storage, so that nothing is lost by accident.
Abnormal parcels
Abnormal parcels are parcels that reach our warehouse without complete logistics information, so they cannot be matched to an order or a customer.
- They are kept for 30 days from the date the warehouse receives them.
- Because we cannot tell whose parcel it is, no reminders are sent.
- After 30 days, OriginBuy treats the parcel as abandoned and destroys it.
To avoid this, make sure the parcels you send to our warehouse carry complete and correct logistics information.
Shipping items and paying fees
- You can see the items you have in storage under My Account → Warehouse.
- Overdue storage fees stop on the day you submit a shipment for the item. Fees that have already been incurred must still be paid.
- If you have several items past their free period, you can ship some of them first and leave the others in storage, where they continue to accrue fees.
- If an item has overdue storage fees, our customer service will contact you about payment.
Important notes
- Overdue storage fees are based on the actual price you paid for the item, or on the value you declared when it was received. Please declare values truthfully so that your rights are not affected.

What happens to parcels OriginBuy cannot identify?
Parcels without complete logistics information cannot be matched to a customer. OriginBuy keeps them for 30 days from receipt without sending reminders, then treats them as abandoned and destroys them.
